Privacy Policy.

Registration and roster data. Payer name, email, phone, agency name and address, purchase order number, and for each student: name, email, rank or title, agency, and any dietary or accommodation notes you choose to provide.

Payment data. Payment method, amount, and status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.

Messages and signups. Contact form details, waitlist entries, and email addresses submitted to our class-alert list.

Website usage. First-party analytics: page views, referring page, approximate device and browser type, and interaction events such as outbound clicks on gear links. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and do not track you across other websites.

To process registrations and payments, build and manage class rosters, verify eligibility, send joining instructions and class communications, issue invoices and receipts, produce certificates of completion, respond to your messages, and — if you opted in — notify you when we schedule a class near you.

We also use aggregate usage data to understand which pages and cities draw interest so we can schedule classes sensibly.

Card payments and invoices are handled by Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe receives the information needed to process your transaction and handles it under its own privacy policy. We retain only transaction identifiers, amounts, and status.

Class-alert emails go only to addresses submitted to that list. We send new dates and cities — nothing else, and we do not sell or rent the list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us. Transactional messages about a registration you submitted are sent regardless of alert preferences.

We use cookies and browser storage only for essential functions: keeping an administrator signed in, preserving your place in the registration form, and counting first-party page views. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We share personal information only in these situations:

• With service providers who run parts of the operation for us — payment processing, email delivery, and hosting — under their obligations to protect it.
• With a host agency or venue, limited to roster and access details needed to admit students to the facility.
• With your agency, when your agency is the payer for your registration.
• When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of participants.

We do not sell personal information.

We keep registration, roster, and payment records for as long as needed to administer training, issue and re-issue certificates, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Contact-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.

Data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security, and administrative access is limited to authorized staff on an allowlist. No system is perfect, but we take the sensitivity of law enforcement rosters seriously and limit collection to what training requires.

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law.

This site and our courses are intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as the site and our operations change. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
