Terms of Service.

By registering a student, submitting payment, or attending a course, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the agency you register on behalf of. If you do not agree, do not register.

Our courses are restricted to certified law enforcement officers and credentialed security professionals. We verify credentials before class and may require you to present credentials on the first day of instruction.

We may decline or cancel any registration where eligibility cannot be verified. In that case, amounts paid are refunded in full.

A seat is reserved when a registration is submitted. Payment may be made immediately by card or by agency invoice. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.

Invoices are due on the terms stated on the invoice and, unless otherwise agreed in writing, before the first day of class. Unpaid seats may be released if payment or a purchase order is not received before the class begins.

Advertised, sale, and early-bird pricing applies to the class and dates shown at the time of registration. Discount codes may be limited in quantity or time and may not be combined unless stated.

Cancellations made more than two weeks before the first day of class receive a full refund.

Inside two weeks, we understand that duty happens. If unforeseen circumstances require you to postpone or send a different officer, we will transfer the registration or issue a credit toward a future class. Substituting an eligible student at no charge is always an option.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Invoice-paid registrations are credited or refunded to the paying agency.

We may change instructors, venues, or the daily schedule when circumstances require, and we may cancel a class for low enrollment, weather, or operational necessity. If we cancel, you may transfer to another class or receive a full refund. We are not responsible for travel, lodging, or other costs you incur.

Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times, follow instructor direction, and comply with all applicable laws and their own agency policy. We may remove any student whose conduct is unsafe, unlawful, disruptive, or misrepresents their credentials, without refund.

A meaningful portion of the course takes place in vehicles and on public roads. You are responsible for operating your vehicle lawfully and safely at all times, for maintaining valid licensing and insurance, and for complying with your agency’s vehicle policy. Instructors do not direct, authorize, or supervise any traffic violation.

An unmarked vehicle is strongly preferred. Students without one will be paired with a student running unmarked.

Nothing taught in this course is legal advice or authorization for any investigative action. Enforcement decisions, tactics, and investigations remain governed by your agency policy and the law in your jurisdiction.

Training involves vehicle operation, foot movement in public areas, long hours, and night operations. You voluntarily assume the ordinary risks of participation and confirm you are fit to participate. Tell us about any accommodation you need at registration or by email.

Course content, handouts, presentations, and techniques are proprietary and restricted to enrolled students. Recording, photographing, copying, publishing, or redistributing course material — or teaching it commercially — is prohibited without our written permission. Do not share materials outside the law enforcement or credentialed security community.

All site content, marks, and course materials remain the property of OPD LLC. Attendance grants no license beyond personal professional use.

Students who complete the course receive a certificate documenting 30 hours of instruction. We do not control, and do not guarantee, whether any agency, POST board, or state authority accepts those hours toward in-service or continuing education requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your registration or attendance is limited to the amount you paid for the class. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost time, travel expenses, or claims arising from your use of the training in the field.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OPD LLC, its instructors, and host agencies from claims arising out of your conduct during training or your application of course material, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which OPD LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. Agencies with statutory venue requirements should contact us before registering.

We may update these terms. The version posted at the time of your registration governs that registration. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
